Bertrand Alexis is Head of Legal, M&A and Innovation of Ooredoo Group based in Doha Qatar. Ooredoo Group is a world leading global telecommunications company with over 8B USD Revenues and a presence in 12 countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He has also served as Acting Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and General Counsel.

Bertrand Alexis is an advisor at the business school HEC Paris in Doha, advising executive MBA students on their capstone business projects, given his experience in the telecoms industry, advising technology start-ups and teaching business law.

Previously Bertrand was a co-founder of Vistalaw International, a global team of former in-house attorneys with broad experience in providing legal support and advice to international companies. Bertrand was also Associate General Counsel at Cable & Wireless and in that capacity was responsible for providing legal counsel for the European and Japanese operations in all aspects of Cable & Wireless telecommunications and internet services.

Prior to joining Cable & Wireless, he served as counsel to Nortel Europe and international counsel to Alcatel S.A., responsible for joint ventures, strategic alliances and technology transfer agreements in Europe, the US, Africa, India and China.

Mr. Alexis received his bachelors degree in economics from Columbia University and JD from Harvard University. He is a member of the NY Bar.

Bertrand resides in Doha, Qatar with his wife and two children.
